• Vaccinations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Rabies
• Travelers should also be up to date for measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT)
• Rabies vaccination if traveling to rural areas.
• Travel warnings for: Malaria, Dengue, Cutaneous leishmaniasis, Schistosomiasis, Cryptosporidiosis.
• Malaria risk is limited to Uzunskiy, Sariassiskiy, and Shurchinskiy districts.
• Chloroquine is the recommended antimalarial drug if you will be visiting a malaria risk areas in Uzbekistan.
• Dengue, Cutaneous leishmaniasis are carried by insects and travelers should avoid insect bites and use insect repellent with DEET (30%-50%)
• Schistosomiasis: avoid swimming in fresh water.
• Cryptosporidiosis: risk can be prevented by drinking bottled water.
