Trinidad and Tobago
• Vaccinations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Yellow fever
• Travelers should also be up to date for measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT), Polio
• Yellow fever vaccination certificate is recommended but not required prior to entry into Trinidad and Tobago
• Travel warnings for: Dengue, Filariasis, Leishmaniasis, Histoplasmosis, Leptospirosis, Schistosomiasis, Cryptosporidiosis.
• Dengue, Filariasis, Leishmaniasis are all carried by insects and travelers should avoid insect bites and use insect repellent with DEET (30%-50%)
• Histoplasmosis: avoid bat guano or bird droppings.
• Leptospirosis: avoid swimming in fresh water.
• Schistosomiasis: avoid swimming in fresh water.
• Cryptosporidiosis: risk can be prevented by drinking bottled water.
