• Travelers should also be up to date for Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Diphtheria/Pertussis/Tetanus (DPT), Polio
• Travel warnings for: Dengue, Filariasis, Leishmaniasis, Onchocerciasis, Plague, Leptospirosis, Schistosomiasis, Cryptosporidiosis.
• Dengue, Filariasis, Cutaneous leishmaniasis, Onchocerciasis (River blindness) and Plague are all carried by insects. Travelers should avoid insect bites and use insect repellent with DEET (30%-50%)
• Leptospirosis: avoid swimming in fresh water.
• Schistosomiasis: avoid swimming in fresh water.
• Cryptosporidiosis risk can be prevented by drinking bottled water.
