• Vaccinations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Rabies
• Travelers should also be up to date for Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Diphtheria/Pertussis/Tetanus (DPT)
• Rabies vaccination if traveling to rural areas.
• Travel warnings for: Malaria, Cutaneous leishmaniasis, Schistosomiasis, Cryptosporidiosis.
• Malaria risk is limited to areas of the Musandam Province. Medication prophylaxis is not needed but travelers should protect themselves from insect bites.
• Cutaneous leishmaniasis are carried by insects. Travelers should avoid insect bites and use insect repellent with DEET (30%- 50%).
• Schistosomiasis: avoid swimming in fresh water.
• Cryptosporidiosis risk can be prevented by drinking bottled water.
