• Vaccinations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid Rabies
• Travelers should also be up to date for Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Diphtheria/Pertussis/Tetanus (DPT)
• Rabies vaccination if traveling to rural areas.
• Travel warnings for: Malaria, Dengue, Filariasis, Cutaneous leishmaniasis, Schistosomiasis, Cryptosporidiosis.
• Malaria risk limited to areas of Chefchaouen province and medication prophylaxis is not needed but travelers should protect themselves from insect bites.
• Dengue, Cutaneous leishmaniasis, Filariasis are all carried by insects and travelers should avoid insect bites and use insect repellent with DEET (30%-50%).
• Schistosomiasis: avoid swimming in fresh water.
• Cryptosporidiosis risk can be prevented by drinking bottled water.
