- Travelers should be up to date on measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT)
- Travel warnings for: Malaria, Dengue, Histoplasmosis, Leptospirosis, Cryptosporidiosis
- Malaria all areas of Haiti.
- Chloroquine is the recommended antimalarial drug.
- Dengue carried by insects and travelers should avoid insect bites and use insect repellent with DEET (30%-50%)
- Histoplasmosis avoid bat guano or bird droppings.
- Leptospirosis: avoid swimming in fresh water
- Cryptosporidiosis risk can be prevented by bottled water.
- Malaria all areas of Haiti.
