• Travelers should be up to date on measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT), Polio
• Rabies vaccination if traveling to rural areas.
• Travel warnings for: Leishmaniasis, Schistosomiasis, Cryptosporidiosis.
• Leishmaniasis: carried by insects and travelers should avoid insect bites and use insect repellent with DEET (30%-50%).
• Schistosomiasis: avoid swimming in fresh water.
• Cryptosporidiosis: risk can be prevented by drinking bottled water.
