Vaccinations: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B,Typhoid, Rabies

• Travelers should be up to date on measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT)

• Rabies vaccination if traveling to rural areas.

Travel warnings for: Malaria, Tickborne encephalitis, Cryptosporidiosis

Malaria limited to the Ararat Valley in the Ararat and Artashat region.

• Chloroquine is the recommended antimalarial drug.

Tickborne encephalitis (TBE) carried by insects and travelers should avoid insect bites and use insect repellent with DEET(30%-50%). No TBE vaccines are available in the United States.

Cryptosporidiosis risk can be prevented by bottled water.
