Palmar erythema

Palmar erythema (palm redness) is an excessive redness of the palmar aspect of the hand.

Palmar erythema (palm redness) appears as a dilation of the capillaries in the skin in a fine lace pattern over the base of the thumb extending to the fingers and turns pale when pressure is applied to the skin.

Palmar erythema (palm redness) is caused by:
· pregnancy
· liver disease
· over active thyroid

Palmar erythema (palm redness) should be evaluated by your doctor.
