Lip swelling

Lip swelling is the symptom of edema of the tissues of the lip.

Lip swelling can be a sign of:
· angioedema
· infection of the lip and would typically be warm and tender to touch and reddish in color.
· cold sore (recurrent herpes infection)
Lip swelling should be evaluated by your doctor.
