Kneecap swelling

Kneecap swelling is the symptom of edema or fluid in the tissues around the kneecap joint.

Kneecap swelling can be a sign of an infection of the kneecap and would typically be warm and tender to touch and reddish in color.

Kneecap swelling can also be an indication of bursitis.

Kneecap swelling should be evaluated by yoru doctor.
