Hand itch
• Hand itch is the symptom of a tingling or uneasy irritation of the skin that makes you want to scratch the hand area.
• Hand itch may be caused by:
· atopic dermatitis (allergic rash)
· contact dermatitis (an allergic rash from something in contact with the skin)
· dry skin
· hives (histamine related swelling of the skin)
· infection of the skin
· insect bites or stings
· parasites such as lice or scabies
• Hand itch that persists or worsens should be evaluated by your doctor.
