Halitosis
· Halitosis (Breath odor) is the symptom of excessive odor from the mouth, sinus or lungs.
· Halitosis (Breath odor) is usually due to bacterial overgrowth from an infection or decaying food material.
· Halitosis (Breath odor) usually originates from the mouth or nasal airways. Good oral hygiene and adequate hydration is usually sufficient to control bad breath.
Other causes of bad breath include: chronic sinusitis, dental abscess, lung abscess.
