Polyuria
• Polyuria (Frequent urination) is the symptom of relative excessive urination and generally greater than three
liters of urine output per day is abnormal.
• Polyuria (Frequent urination) can be a symptom of:
· Diabetes mellitus
· Diabetes insipidus
· Hypercalcemia
· Psychogenic polydipsia (this is associated with psychosis)
· Hyperaldosteronism
· Urine infection
• Polyuria that persists or worsens should be evaluated by your doctor
