Eosinophilia

Eosinophilia is the laboratory finding of excessive amount of the eosinophils (one of the 5 types of white blood cells)

Eosinophilia can be a sign of:
· Allergies such as asthma or allergic dermatitis or allergic rhinitis
· Allergic reaction to a medication
· Parasite infection
· Lymphoma
· Cholesterol emboli (cholesterol plaque in arteries breaking off)
· Adrenal insufficiency
