Chicken chest

Chicken chest (pigeon chest or Pectus carinatum) is the deformity of a protrusion out of the chest wall at the mid-line of chest at the sternum (breast bone).

Chicken chest is uncommon, occurring at about one out of every 3,000 live births.

Chicken chest can be associated with Marfan’s syndrome.

Chicken chest can be corrected with surgery.
