Buttock swelling
• Buttock swelling is the symptom of an infiltration of inflammatory cells or edema (fluid) in the muscle or
tissues around the buttuck area.
• Buttock swelling can be a sign of an infection of the tissues or an abscess (collection of inflammatory cells) of the buttock area. This would typically be warm and tender to touch and reddish in color.
• Buttock swelling can also be a sign of heart failure or a blood clot and should be evaluated by your doctor.
