• Abdominal wall itch is a tingling or uneasy irritation of the skin of the abdomen that makes you want to 
scratch the affected area.
• Abdominal wall itch may be caused by:
· atopic dermatitis (an allergic rash)
· contact dermatitis (an allergic rash to something in contact with the skin dry skin
·hives (histamine mediated swelling of the top layer of skin)
· infection of the skin
· insect bites or stings
· parasites such as lice or scabies
· sunburn
