Knee Pain
• Knee pain is the condition of discomfort of the knee. 
• Knee pain can result from:
· Baker’s (popliteal) cyst (behind the knee)
· Bursitis (inflammation of the bursa)
· Iliotibial band syndrome
· Patellar tendinitis
· Meniscus tear
· Medial or lateral collateral ligament strain or tear
· Anterior cruciate ligament tear
· Infection of the knee
· Arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, pseudogout, septic arthritis, reactive arthritis)
· Tumor (osteosarcoma)
· Fracture (broken bone)
• Knee pain should be evaluated by your doctor.
